Tariq Ali is a British Pakistani historian, novelist, journalist, and activist. He is on the editorial committee of the New Left Review and Sin Permiso. He regularly contributes to The Guardian, Counterpunch, and the London Review of Books. He is the author of Clash of Fundamentalisms, Conversations with Edward Said (2005), The Protocols of the Elders of Sodom: and other Essays (2009), The Obama Syndrome (2010), and others. He will be speaking about the Occupy movement, the Arab Spring and the people’s power in creating protesting.
